Elena DeYoung’s journey to establishing Alyonka Russian Cuisine began in Kazakhstan, where she grew up surrounded by the rich culinary traditions of Eastern Europe. Bringing those traditions to Boise, Elena set out to create a space where locals and visitors alike could experience the hearty, flavorful dishes that defined her upbringing.
